On 7th May 2016 in Southampton twelve OKA teams competed in the Chris Carter Cup. Many thanks to all those who helped make the day a success. Particular thanks to Sam Wells who came and assessed 18 shot clock operators, Nick Leighton who managed the day brilliantly and Martin Hurajt for organising the reffing.
Here are the end results of the competition: Cup 1 - Basingstoke Bulls - Cup Winners 2 - Southampton Spartans A 3 - Farnborough Jets 4 - Oxford City 5 - Oxford Uni 6 - Abingdon Atoms Plate 7 - Southampton Uni A - Plate Winners 8 - Didcot Dragons B 9 - Southampton Spartans B 10 - Southampton Uni B 11 - Oxford Isis 12 - Didcot Dragons A The OKA AGM 2016 will be held at Sunday June 5th, starting promptly at 4.30pm in All Saints Community Hall, Didcot.
If you have any proposals (or other items) for discussion at the AGM now is the time to inform the OKA Secretary. To guarantee that your proposal/item is discussed at the AGM, it must be submitted by the Sunday 15th May. A list of received proposals will then be circulated. Proposals submitted after this point may be discussed, at the Chair's discretion. The election of Executive Committee Officers for the 2016/17 season will also take place at the AGM. If you would like more information about any of the Committee Roles there is a document here listing each position. This Saturday (7th May 2016) the Chris Carter Cup will take place in Fleming Park, Southampton followed by the OKA Awards. A full day of competition awaits teams from across the area and we are also happy to offer Ref and Shot Clock Assessment.
The OKA Awards will follow in the same venue and give us all a chance to celebrate the 2015/16 season. |
